What is Reborning?
Buying a doll at the store and performing the labour intensive process of completely disassembling the doll and removing the head, arms, and legs from the body. Removing the paint using solvents and scissors to remove the hair. Once the doll is stripped down to bare unpainted parts then you can begin to repaint them. You also root new hair and reassemble the doll. This is why it is called a reborn doll. You had to undo what the factory did then redo what you wanted it to look like.
What is Newborning?
With newborning, you buy a completely unpainted doll kit that is ready for assembly. It's kind of like a blank artists' canvas where you can do whatever you like. With a newborning doll kit you don't have to undo anything. This will save you hours of time and allow you to get to the creative fun part right away.
